Charlotte Riddick, the first full-time registrar for the City of Charlottesville, will be honored Friday with the presentation of a General Assembly memorial resolution.

HJR 927 was introduced this past legislative session in part by Del. David J. Toscano, D-Charlottesville, who will be present Friday along with Riddick’s family and current registrar Rosanna Bencoach.

Riddick retired from the post in 1994 and died in 2018 at age 94.

The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. in Room 142 of the Office of Voter Registration at 120 Seventh St. NE in Charlottesville.
