New Hill Development Corp. will host a lecture with author John Hope Bryant and local philanthropist John Kluge this week.

The discussion is titled “Building Economic Prosperity through Inclusion in Charlottesville.”

Bryant is the founder, chairman and CEO of HOPE, Bryant Group Ventures and Promise Homes Co.

Kluge is founder and managing director of Refugee Investment Network and a New Hill board member.

The presentation is scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Vinegar Hill Theatre. It will include an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

Charlottesville provided $500,000 to New Hill in November. The nonprofit corporation plans to put the money toward a small area plan for the city’s Starr Hill neighborhood and a financial literacy program for the area.

Childcare and youth activities will be provided at Tuesday’s event. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
