The second annual C’ville Sing Out is scheduled for Aug. 10 at Charlottesville's Sprint Pavilion, and organizers say everyone in the community is welcomed to join in song.

The 4 p.m. event will follow a 10 a.m. rehearsal at the Martin Luther King Jr. Performing Arts Center at Charlottesville High School.

Organizers say the group sing is designed as "a positive musical celebration" of the community "to promote love and brotherhood among all races, cultures and beliefs."

Online registration may be completed at CvilleSingOut.org. Cost of participation is $5, with a $1.74 additional fee for paying with a credit card. The charge will cover sheet music and folders.

In-person registration will be held at Mount Zion First African Baptist Church. Dates and times will be announced soon.

The city of Charlottesville and Unity Days are co-sponsoring this year's Sing Out.
