Harold "Junie" Barbour, Jr., age 57, passed away on February 17, 2018, at his home. He was born on January 9, 1961, in Charlottesville, Va. to Harold Barbour, Sr. and the late Gloria Barbour. A native of Ivy, Va., Harold attended Western Albemarle High School. He completed culinary arts school in Washington, D.C. Harold enjoyed a career as a cook and took great pleasure in creating meals that were cooked to perfection. He was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Harold was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Barbour; sister, Cheryl Barbour; aunt, Iantha Armstead; and uncles, Sherman and Sterling Armstead. Harold is survived by his father, Harold Barbour, Sr. of Ivy, Va.; son, Harold Barbour, III of Bristow, Va.; sisters, Donna Williams of Greensboro, N.C. and Demetria Barbour of Ivy, Va.; brothers, Dale Barbour of Palmyra, Va. and Brian Barbour of Ivy, Va.; uncle, John Armstead (Jeanette) of Ivy, Va.; aunt, Edmonia McNeal (Robert) of Montgomery Village, Md.; nieces, NShana Barbour of Greensboro, N.C., Rosonya Barbour of Charlottesville, Va., and Kiara Barbour of Ivy, Va.; nephews, Brandon Williams of Greensboro, N.C., AJ Barbour of Ivy, Va., and Cameron Barbour of Charlottesville, Va., cousins, and a host of friends. A celebration of Harold's life will be held at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Ivy, Va. on Saturday, February 24, 2018, 2 p.m., the Rev. Robert McNeal officiating. Hill and Wood Funeral Home of Charlottesville, Va. is handling the arrangements.
