William Jacob Claus, Jr., 87, of Lake Monticello, died on Sunday February 3, 2019, at his residence. Born on February 4, 1931, in North Bergen, N.J., he was the son of the late William Jacobs Claus Sr. and Grace Pearl Claus. He was the husband of the late Wilma Craig Claus. Mr. Claus was an active member of South Plains Presbyterian Church in Keswick. He is survived by three daughters, Janice Terry and husband, John, of Sewell, N.J., Connie McKenna and husband, Dan, of Freehold, N.J., and Laurie Claus of Johnson City, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Kimberlee Harrison of Florida, and Carol Earl of Bristol; one brother, Roy Claus and wife, Nancy of Sparta, N.J., and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. He was also preceded in death by a step daughter, Gail Harrington. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019, at South Plains Presbyterian Church in Keswick, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Jewell-Ann Parton will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
