Library soil exhibit uninteresting

{child_byline}Letter to the Editor{/child_byline}

In the July 16 Daily Progress was a report of a new traveling exhibit apparently funded by the Jefferson Madison Regional Library, where visitors can observe some recently excavated Albemarle soil, perhaps of some historic significance (“Lynching soil exhibit unveiling Wednesday”).

Let’s hope the library system also will endorse a quiet space for visitors to observe paint drying, then move on to seminar space for discussions of pet rocks.
