The moderator of an Albemarle County meeting concerning Paul Cale insisted that the audience not respond to any speaker by clapping, cheering, booing, etc. We were allowed to stand and/or raise our hands. The Daily Progress printed a picture of me on the front page of the June 19 edition that might have given the impression that I was making some sort of political or racially charged gesture. I was merely expressing my support for the speaker.
