MT. PISGAH PRAYER BREAKFAST

Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, True Blue, will make a joyful noise in the Lord during a community prayer breakfast Saturday, April 27, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The event will feature Minister Tracy Slaughter of Antioch Baptist Church, Madison, and Minister Clara Bright of Main Uno Baptist Church, Barboursville.

LITTLE ZION PRAYER PROGRAM

Little Zion Baptist Church will host Women’s Prayer Breaks FEAR Saturday, April 27, at 9 a.m., featuring Sister Teri Washington of Hopewell Baptist Church, Orange, with praise and worship by her church family.

EMANUEL BAPTIST YOUTH DAY

Emanuel Baptist Church will have its annual youth day Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m. Minister Donnie Burgess of LUX Church, Richmond, will be the guest preacher. Myles Johnson of Little Zion Baptist Church will be the youth worship leader. Lunch will be served following the morning service.

HOUSE OF GOD REVIVAL

House of God Tabernacle, located at 109 N. Madison St. in Orange, will hold a spring revival May 1-3 with services at 7:30 p.m. nightly. MT. LEBANON YARD SALE

Mount Lebanon Church of the Brethren will hold a yard sale and bake sale Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Greene County Senior Center, located at 222 Main St. in Stanardsville. ANTIOCH CEMETERY RALLY DAY

Cemetery rally day at Antioch Baptist Church, Madison, will be Sunday, May 5. The morning service will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served following the morning service. The afternoon service will take place at 3 p.m. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Charles Lewis of Cloverdale Baptist Church, Bremo Bluff, accompanied by the Cloverdale Baptist male chorus and congregation.

HOUSE OF GOD ANNIVERSARY

House of God Tabernacle will celebrate the seventh anniversary of the church and its leaders, Pastor Tommie L. Bailey and Lady Valencia Bailey, during its services Sunday, May 5. Guest preacher for the 11 a.m. service will be the Rev. Alfrieta Bennett-Reeves of Danville. WBRBA GOSPELFEST

The Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association Church Institute will present its 2019 Gospelfest on Sunday, May 5, at 4:30 p.m. at the WBRBA center, located at 15044 Ryland Chapel Road in Rixeyville. The concert will feature the Swanee Quintet of Augusta, Ga., and a variety of other performers. Tickets are $10 at the door.

UNION MEN’S AND WOMEN’S DAY

Union Baptist Church, Trevilians, will celebrate men’s and women’s day Sunday, May 5, at 2 p.m. Guest preacher will be Pastor Kelvin Hawkins, accompanied by the choir, ushers and congregation of St. John Baptist Church, Cobham. A light lunch will be served following the morning service.

The Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association Women’s Auxiliary will host its 41st annual prayer luncheon Wednesday, May 8, at 10:30 a.m. at the WBRBA center, located at 15044 Ryland Chapel Road in Rixeyville. LAKE ORANGE PARENT/CHILD FISHING DAY

A parent/child fishing adventure sponsored by Mountain View Community Church will take place Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lake Orange. The event is free and open to parents and children with a valid fishing license. Fishing will take place from 8 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a barbecue lunch and awards for the most, biggest and smallest fish.

SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST EVANGELISTIC MEETINGS

Orange Seventh-day Adventist Church will hold a series of evangelistic meetings on the subject “Questions I Would Ask God” Sunday, May 12 to Saturday, May 18, at 7 p.m. each night. MEGA SPORTS CAMP

Mountain View Community Church will sponsor “Mega Sports Camp” June 10-14 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at Booster Park in Orange. The camp is open to children ages 6-11 and will include flag football, soccer, cheerleading and kickball. Registration is required no later than May 20 and can be completed at bit.ly/2MVEVENTS. The cost is $25 per child if registered on or before May 6, or $30 afterward. Snacks will be provided.

MT. HOLY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Mount Holy Baptist Church will host vacation Bible school June 12-14 from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. each night. Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association will hold its 130th annual session beginning Saturday, July 13, at 4 p.m. with a pre-opening celebration featuring speaker Bishop Herbert H. Jackson, worship leader the Rev. Charles W. Wormley and the Mount Zion Spotsylvania choir.
