Dozens of volunteers, patients, donors and supporters stopped by the Orange County Free Clinic Thursday for an open house celebrating the clinic's two-year anniversary at its Rt. 15 location and its 2,000th patient. Organizers of the autumn open house wanted to raise awareness of the services the clinic provides - and to express appreciation to all for their support. “What began six years ago as an effort to address the lack of access to medical care for uninsured residents of Orange County has grown into a successful not-for-profit operation that has helped thousands in the local community,” says OCFC Executive Director Dorren Brown.
