ANDREW SHURTLEFF/THE DAILY PROGRESS Virginia Cavalier men's basketball players Jay Huff (right) and Kyle Guy (left) are greeted by fans after returning from Minneapolis as National Champions Tuesday outside the John Paul Jones Arena.

Like his teammates Ty Jerome, De'Andre Hunter, Kyle Guy and Mamadi Diakite, Virginia forward Jay Huff took to Instagram to announce his future plans.

And he probably made more than a few Cavalier fans nervous with his post on Wednesday night.

"I would like to thank God, my family, and my friends who have all supported me through this journey. These past three years have been more than I ever dreamed it could be, and this team accomplished so much during my time here," Huff's post read. "With that being said, I would like to officially declare my intentions to STAY at the University of Virginia and finish out my time here. A HUGE congratulations to my teammates who have declared for the NBA draft, and I wish you guys the best of luck. Thank you for everything you’ve done. We’ll be here competing for another championship.

"Made y’all nervous, didn’t I?"

Here is Huff's full Instagram post.

Huff, a 7-foot-1 sophomore, has become a favorite of Virginia basketball fans. The Durham, North Carolina, native has shown flashes throughout his time in a Virginia uniform, including a 12-point, seven-rebound performance against Louisville during the regular season.

He could take on a much predominant role for the Cavaliers next season with the graduation of Jack Salt and possible departures of Hunter and Diakite.
