FIRST TEAM

Naya Hunter, Jr., Miller

A newcomer for the Mavericks, Hunter earned VISAA Division II Player of the Year honors after leading Miller to its fifth-straight state title. She led the Mavericks with 17.4 points, 3.6 assists and 4.2 steals a game.

Jovia Winkey, Jr., St. Anne’s-Belfield

A first-team VISAA Division I all-state pick, Winkey led the Saints with 15 points and 5.7 steals a night. She replaced current Virginia freshman Brianna Tinsley and led STAB to the state semifinals for the sixth year in a row.

Elisabeth Coffman, Jr., Western Albemarle

A Class 3 Jefferson District Player of the Year and a first-team Class 3, Region C pick, Coffman averaged 10.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.3 steals a game.

Sierra Smith, Sr., St. Anne’s-Belfield

Smith averaged a double-double this season with 12.3 points and 13 rebounds a game. The first-team all-state pick will play for former UVa assistants Kim and Corey McNeil next year at Hartford University.

Sydney Sherman, So., Western Albemarle

A first-team Jefferson District and second-team Class 3, Region C pick, Sherman averaged 8.6 points and 7.5 rebounds a night. She was a double-double machine and shot 50 percent in the paint.
