The Charlottesville Tom Sox extended their winning streak to six games with a dominating 11-3 win over the Staunton Braves on Monday night at Charlottesville High School.
Charlottesville (6-1) cranked out 13 hits and scored runs in five different innings en route to its second blowout victory over Staunton (5-3) this season. After the Braves took an early 2-0 lead, the Tom Sox blew the game open with a seven-run fourth inning.
Ramon Garza and Cayman Richardson each had three hits and three RBI to lead Charlottesville. Cole McNamee and Greg Ryan added two hits apiece for the Tom Sox.
Starter Michael Zubovich earned the win for Charlottesville after allowing three hits and two runs while striking out five in four innings of work.
