The inaugural Staunton Folk Festival will kick off at noon on Saturday at the Sunspots Pavilion stage on South Lewis Street in downtown Staunton. And the music won't stop until 10 that night.
Alan Munde, 5-string banjo legend from Texas, will perform, along with singer-songwriter and troubadour Nathan Moore.
Musicians from the Heifetz Institute, Tara Mills & Jimmy Stelling of Charlottesville, and other artists are scheduled to perform as well.
The event, which is free to attend, will be held rain or shine, and a tent cover is available. No alcohol or glass containers.
