William Monroe held its second annual basketball camp on June 5, led by boys basketball coach Brett Maynard and members of the boys basketball team. 

The trials of two people accused of breaking and entering and aggravated assault in Greene County last August have been delayed.

For the first time in program history, the William Monroe High School girls soccer team earned a spot in the state tournament after a 2-1 double overtime victory last Tuesday over visiting Spotsylvania County High School.

It came down to one run for Rianna Brill who was vying for a qualifying spot for the National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) Finals.

Each of Kinsey’s two-run bombs solidified the team’s shutout against the Vikings, and earned them a regional semifinal berth against No. 1 seed Brentsville High School.

William Monroe High School’s softball team beat Culpeper County High School 11-1 in five innings last Tuesday in their last regular season game, and again 19-1 in the first round of regional play.
